5 medicinal herbs to beat cold weather

The following five medicinal herbs have come about as a healthy solution to beat this winter, ensuring prim and proper health.

Matricaria recutita (Chamomile)

This herb is grown on a wide scale basis in Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Europe, Slovakia and Argentina. For centuries, it has been used as a sleeping medicine across the globe. It is well-known to cure sleep disorders especially insomnia and also aids in keeping the body warm during winters.

It is suggested that you take around 6 capsules that contain 300 mg of dried chamomile per day. Alternatively, you can take 20 to 40 drops of its tincture thrice per day. You can also add 1 teaspoon of this healing herb onto your cup of tea.

Panax (Asain ginseng)

This medicinal herb is blessed with over 18 active chemicals known as ginsenosides. The interesting part is that the behavior of these chemicals match traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and thus, is known to treat a number of diseases such as fatigue, lack of concentration and reduced work capacity. In short, it works like an ultimate energy booster so that you can stay active even during extreme cold weather.

Asian ginseng tea is available in the market. You should start consuming at the earliest at least thrice a day. However, avoid milk and sugar. Simply prepare it in distilled water and enjoy the flavors while gaining good amount of energies within the body.

Vaccinium mytrillus (Bilberry)

This herb is a close relative of blueberry. It is actually a petite shrub that consists of sweet black berries and is widely found in western Asia, North America, northern Europe and the Rocky Mountains.

Sambucus Canadensis (Elderberry)

 It is a native of the honeysuckle family and has proved to be excellent in treating flu, headaches and fever. We all know that due to abrupt weather change, cold and cough accompanied by fever occurs. Hence, this miracle herb work wonders in curing the body from such ailments.

You can consume around 40 drops of tincture every four hours or you can add 3-4 teaspoons of the herb in warm water and prepare some rejuvenating tea thrice per day.

Hypericum perforatum (St. John?s wort)

This herb is a dried flowering top of a European plant which is found in the US and it also grows like a weed. It is believed to cure the symptoms of early depression and anxiety.  It is one of the strongest herbs which has the ability to render effective results within a short period of time.

You can drink 3 to 4 drops of its tincture twice a day or also add the herb to your daily tea for about 3 times in a day.
