Can ayurveda help to cure male infertility?

A specialist on IVF fertility Dr Jaydeep Tank is of the opinion that fertility issues can?t be blamed on anyone. Infertility is merely a medical situation that affects 1 in 10 couples trying to start a family. When it comes to male infertility, the issues mostly consist of chief diagnosis in about 23% cases.

Understanding male infertility

 The most common male infertility problem is the insufficient production of moving and normal sperm count. Even though, there are a number of factors that may lead to infertility in men, a correct diagnosis, in major cases is quiet elusive. A yoga guru Anil Patil confirmed that ayurvedic ways have been used to treat infertility issues since ages dating back to 5000 BC.

Safed Musli

In traditional ayurveda the dried roots of Safed Musdi or asparagus has always been used as an aphrodisiac. The tubers of this medicinal plant are widely used to prepare ayurvedic medicine. It consists of 10 to 20 % of natural steroid saponin, 5 to 7% of proteins and carbohydrates, 30% of alkaloids and 40 to 40% of polysaccoroids.
